Polestar 2 meets the press

"It handles and rides with real sophistication… and just oozes cool.” Yes, that's how we all feel about the Polestar 2. That should be shocking to none. It's the embodiment of all our current ambitions. But when it comes to an objective look, we might be too close. We can't see the forest for the golden brake callipers.

What we needed to hear was impartial, unbiased feedback. We needed to expose the Polestar 2 to objective scrutiny. Therefore, we sent out the signal, and invited the press to Hällered to drive a Polestar 2 prototype. Journalists from the UK, Germany, Norway, the US, and China braved the howling winds and shimmering sheets of rain which pass for autumn weather in Sweden to drive the Polestar 2. And what they had to say was a resounding confirmation of our own opinions. That opening quote, in fact, is not from someone here at Polestar, but comes courtesy of Top Gear. Performance meets performance

What defines the perfect shot? Absolute precision. In tennis, the greatest victories often come down to razor-thin margins. A shot that’s too long sails out of bounds. A shot that’s too short leaves an opening for your opponent. It is in the smallest gap between the two, where power meets precision, that great careers are made and inspiring stories begin. For Félix Auger-Aliassime, the quest for precision drives every match he plays. He spends thousands of hours repeating the same motion, fine-tuning every detail so that power, finesse, and control all come into play.
